So here is the latest. I got this a few weeks back and finally had the opportunity to try it out. It's a Mossberg Tactical Pistol Grip Shotty. Yep, it was a blast! Pun intended. Here is a glimpse of the carnage it caused. The ultimate in home protection! In addition to my trained attack dogs of course. ;)

It has been a very long time since I've worked on my blog. I have been extremely busy with work and my new work at Colorado Music Buzz Magazine. I might blog more on all that later, but right now I want to talk about Mokie. I know, I know, but I have to. She has gotten SO big!

Mokie just turned 8 months old and weighs about 70 lbs, probably more. This picture is only a couple weeks old and the dog bed she is attempting to lay on is large size. Yep, that's right large! Aside from getting ginormous she is also getting more snugly. She will actually sit still for more then 15 seconds and let me pet her. On a really good day she will climb in bed and try to steal my pillow while getting a nice belly rub. What dog doesn't love a good belly rub?

She is always in competition, or so she thinks, with her older brother Kota. Poor Kota gets stomped on, chewed on, knocked over and sat on every chance Mokie gets. She is so rude to him. He still manages to get in some good snuggle time too. He's been shedding big time. There's actually enough extra Kota hair in my back yard to outfit all the hairless dogs in the world! I'm totally serious!

OK, this is one of those stupid, random things that happen. Well, maybe not entirely random, but it was stupid. Those of you with a weak stomach will want to avoid the pictures below.

I knew she'd be a big girl, but just how big? Who knows! Mokie got spayed yesterday and here she is with 'the cone' (you have to say that in an evil and echoey voice). She's doing really good, but she still has way too much energy for just having surgery. I'm supposed to keep her calm and not let her play. Uh, yeah...what kind of stuff are they smoking?

Anyway, she is 60 pounds now, and did I mention she is only six months old? I know, crazy huh?

We had a big spring storm on Thursday. I got about a foot at my house with drifts up to two feet. That's a lot of snow and the dogs loved it!

A great friend of mine got me an all access press pass that allowed me to run amuck at the Gothic Theater last weekend. There were four local, and quite impressive, bands playing. One of which was just signed! I got to chill in the green room, which really was an odd shade of green, go on stage, backstage, over stage, around stage and uh, you get the picture. My apologies to the fans that were unfortunate enough to find themselves looking at, or past, my ass to see the bands on stage. Just doin my job folks!

Anyway, I survived having almost been puked on twice and there was talk of a urination incident on the stairs where I was standing. No, it wasn't me, but it was a chick. Don't even ask! And don't get me started on the altercation between an idiot driver and a parked car.

This is the lead singer of Vonnegut. They had an amazing stage presence and this is one of my favorite pictures of the night!

The lineup was Roe, Vonnegut, P-Nuckle and the headliner Skyfox. I've had the pleasure of seeing Skyfox perform years ago when my friends band, Pouring Out, was still doing their thing. It's amazing how things change!
